Why do we calibrate

Color management is a set of tools and concepts used in order to attempt to preserve the same colors from the visual image design to the final use – printing, use on other screens or uploading web content.

Solution? Color management services with device calibration

By using our color management services, we can help you achieve the best color performance for your TV-entertainment system, the most accurate quality of printing and the accurate display of colors on computers, tablets and display devices.

WHAT IS COLOR MANAGEMENT?

Color management is a set of tools and concepts used in order to attempt to preserve the same colors from the visual image design to the final use – printing, use on other screens or uploading. All monitors, projectors, printers and TVs can be set to the same or at least similar color values, ensuring an excellent and as realistic a color experience as possible. Regardless of whether it is for the home use of printed photographs and home cinema or professional service provided by a photographer or other expert – the color values must be the same on all devices. This is achieved by calibration.

HOW DOES CALIBRATION WORK?

Monitor calibration ensures that the final result matches the image seen on the screen.

"Example: The colors on the printed photograph will therefore match the colors displayed on the screen, and the blueness of the sea or the color of a green meadow on the TV screen will be displayed as they really are."

Calibration is used to detect color errors and neutralize them. An uncalibrated monitor can have several display defects that calibration will attempt to correct, whereas the calibrated monitor displays the “right” colors, or in other words, the correct colors that are very similar to reality and the colors on all other calibrated monitors.

THE COMPLEX WORLD OF COLOR MANAGEMENT

In order to preserve the same colors, we must determine how many colors the eye can see, how to go from one device to another without losing the true color, how many different colors can a monitor really display and how many colors can it print, what color distortions can occur with color reproduction and how to fix them etc.

Color management tools offer a unified answer to these questions. They simplify your work and allow you to obtain controlled results on your device. Through the calibration of all the elements of the color workflow and by using the tools of our color management system (CMS), we may consider the color errors of each device and correct them to ensure very high quality results throughout the processing flow of your photographs or video and print.
